APPROACH

Our

Investment Strategy

The Dharma Endowment Fund adopts a prudent investment approach, focusing on low-risk equities, bonds, and select commodities to achieve a stable average annual return of at least 7%. The portfolio follows an asset allocation model, with allocations varying to achieve growth and income objectives.

To minimise risk and ensure diversification, the fund exclusively invests in broad indices rather than individual stocks, aligning with best practices in endowment fund management. Our rigorous approach to investing is illustrated below, foll

Responsible for asset allocation, stock selection, and evaluation of co-investment opportunities through the lens of long-term capital appreciation within our risk-management framework.

The Dharma Endowment Fund is promoted, managed, and advised by leading industry experts, high net worth individuals, and top-performing investors, all actively involved in the core committees which form its central governance structure as outlined below.

Governance Committees

Dharmic Screening

The Dharma Endowment Fund applies Dharmic Screening principles to its investments, integrating ethical, social, environmental, and governance considerations. The screening process includes Ahimsa (Negative Ethical Screens). This excludes investments in industries such as adult entertainment, alcohol, animal testing, defense, firearms and weapons, tobacco, and slaughter or GMO-related activities.

Once further established we will also utilise the concept of loka-samgraha (positive screens). Here we will priortise investments in areas that promote environmental and climate change initiatives, waste management and recycling, human rights and fair working conditions, corporate governance, business ethics, and community development.
